Heritage

We’ve supplied bespoke joinery products of all shapes, sizes and quantities to a variety of listed and heritage building refurbishments and developments. On the occasions our work has been recommended for the traditional joinery involved with restoration projects, the quality, skill and precision of our joiners comes into its own.

technical & skilled joinery

The intricacy and complexity in the joinery work on some period properties is not for the appointment of any joiner. Our experienced team of joiners have the essential knowledge and traditional skills that are essential to take on such technical and detailed joinery.

Our heritage joinery work is of the finest quality, to every last detail. Our work has been commended by Hull Civic Society on two occasions, with a Gold Mark Award. This was for the joinery work we supplied to one of five Grade I listed buildings in Hull, The Charterhouse. Also for the careful manufacture of the replica Cupola and associated windows on a Grade II listed building in Hull city centre.

As you will see, our experience in the crafting of joinery products for period buildings is vast. Some examples of our heritage portfolio include the manufacture of custom eyebrow windows for a traditional thatched cottage, which were sand-blasted to give an aged look, and the supply of many made to measure traditional sash windows to fit in a historic Georgian property. Other heritage projects have included detailed dark oak panelling with bolection mouldings to match a Jacobean style interior, and the delicate crafting of volute newels to complete an Edwardian staircase with wreathed hand railings.
